New “Essence of South America” Tour
Highlights Tauck’s 2008 Line Of Exotic Journeys

Collection Now Features 24 Itineraries On Four Continents

NORWALK, CT (May 30, 2007) Tauck World Discovery is adding a new “Essence of South America” journey to its portfolio of trips to exotic locales for next year. The new 13-day itinerary (from $4,940 per person, plus air) visits Chile, Argentina and Brazil, and showcases the countries’ natural wonders, rich histories and varied cultures. Besides multi-night stays in world-renowned cities like Santiago, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, the trip is also highlighted by authentic, in-depth regional experiences, including an exploration of Patagonia, a scenic two-day traverse of the Andes, a visit with the famed gauchos of the Argentinean pampas at a private “estancia,” and much more.

The journey also features accommodations in luxury hotels including the Grand Hyatt Santiago, the Llao Llao Hotel & Resort in Bariloche, the Cesar Park Buenos Aires, the Sheraton Iguazu Resort & Spa, and the Sofitel Rio de Janeiro. Departures begin in January 2008, and continue in February, March, October, November and December.

“We’re very excited to be expanding our offerings in South America,” said Tauck World Discovery President, Robin Tauck. “More and more people are becoming intrigued by South America, but for many, it’s still a somewhat daunting destination. We’re able to provide our guests with an authentic, enriching experience in three South American countries, while simultaneously eliminating the hassles and concerns that might otherwise keep them from visiting this fantastic part of the world. This same approach,” added Tauck, “has fueled the growth of our entire exotics portfolio around the globe.”

EXOTIC DESTINATIONS SEE 21% SURGE IN TWO YEARS
The new itinerary is the 24th trip in Tauck’s line of exotic journeys in Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and Latin America. The collection includes land tours, safaris, ocean cruises, and three land/river journeys, and it represents one of the fastest-growing segments of Tauck’s business. In the past two years alone, Tauck has launched new trips in Egypt, India, Jordan, the Galapagos Islands and Japan, as well as Tauck Bridges family adventures in Tanzania and Australia. The past two years have also seen a 21% increase in the number of guests traveling on Tauck’s exotic journeys.

Tauck’s entire 2008 line of exotic journeys is featured in the company’s new 100-page, full-color “Exotics” brochure, which is now mailing to consumers and travel agents. Those interested in more information can call 1 800 468 2825 or visit www.tauck.com.
