Tauck Named “Best Tour Operator” By Travel Agents, TravelAge West Magazine

NORWALK, CT (June 25, 2007) Tauck World Discovery has won TravelAge West magazine’s annual WAVE Award in the “Best Tour Operator” category. The WAVE award (Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence) was voted on by travel agents in 14 western U.S. states, and by the magazine’s readers. Rick Baron, Tauck’s Director of Worldwide Accounts, accepted the award at a recent black tie gala in Beverly Hills.

"The WAVE Awards are a celebration of excellence in travel products, services and destinations,” said Michelle Rosenberg, publisher of TravelAge West’s publisher. “This year’s WAVE winners have consistently demonstrated excellence within the travel marketplace.”

Honorees were recognized in 48 categories spanning the cruise, tour operator, airline, hotel and resort, and destination travel fields. The awards provide travel agents in the western U.S. the opportunity to recognize companies that deliver outstanding quality and service.
